I know there are still a few goofy things here and there, like the chat doesn't work completely right and is annoying with the join/enter leave messages, the info inside the upper-right playercard doesn't always fit at all browser widths, etc. But I'm gonna try and fix the most critical stuff tomorrow, and then after everything is live and I see that its operational I can go back and tweak the small things.
That's the plan anyway. Hehehe =)

| One thing I am noticing. I don't know if Haplo meant for things to act this way. But you can click on things. Click on an image (or icon) and hold the mouse button down and MOVE the image to anywhere you wish and drop it there. Like drag and drop. So I got to thinking that maybe Saucyone might be accidentally clicking on something and moving it out of view. |

| One more thing, Haplo. It hasn't been mentioned in a while but still needs fixing. If and when you click on another player's profile page almost always you get a scrolling listing if the tasks / quests you have performed. Sometimes this scrolling listing is longer or shorter. It varies. Haven't figured out why it varies. |

That's totally weird. There's no script on the site anywhere to move images or anything else around...

Are you talking about the Recent Activity list on the left side of a profile page? That shows the 20 most recent activity items. But it only shows items from the last 30 days, so if a player has done less things in the last month then less than 20 will show up. But I have a feeling you may be talking about something else? But not sure what?

Try holding shift while refreshing the page, or restarting your browser? Will be working more on this today but right now don't see any reason the More/Less button shouldn't show up. Today will be doing a lot of cross-browser testing so I should be able to fix some of these issues if I can reproduce them, but if you can give me any more info about under what circumstances the problem happens, or maybe even screenshots that would definitely help. Will keep you posted as I find out more info.

The gold ledger is something very few people look at, so I decided in the interest of better navigation to remove it as a main menu option that's available everywhere, and put a button to access it from the gold shop. Of course the gold shop is still disabled on the new site, it's basically 99% done but I'm going to open it up when I convert everybody to the main site, which should be today or tomorrow (hopefully today, aiming for that) The recent players list is likewise being moved (not sure where) but you can go to the url /players to see it still.

Fixed, the award every few minutes for playing games now includes 1gold along with the 1xp just like before.

This is very simple. Upper right of my profile page. That box that contains my gamer icon / image. There are links just below that. That is where the "chat" or "more / less" are SUPPOSED to be. But it / they are NOT there. The ONLY links / icons that are there are: mail, gold shop and logout.
I have refreshed the page, restarted my browser, and even rebooted my computer. I have done ALL these things SEVERAL times for the ENTIRE day since early morning.
You asked under what circumstances. Just everyday, normal, routine circumstances. Like logging in to rockcastle and discovering it's NOT there. Then refreshing, restarting and rebooting...over and over and over...ALL DAY LONG!!!

Okay, I changed something that might have been the problem. Is the More link there now for you?
Also, I made some changes that improved how bad things were on IE. Still working on more things to fix, but the site's not TOTALLY broken on ie now. Back button mostly works everywhere now also, on all browsers. |

| Yeah if you're getting frustrated and you're on IE, use the old site for the next hour or two while I try to fix things on IE. I'll post when I think I've got it in working order |

More and less are there now. Thank you. But the back button is not completely fixed. It's better..,.closer. But not completely fixed. I start at my rockcastle profile. I go to ANY other page. I can go forward and / or back. But it will not go back to my profile page for some reason. In order to get to my profile page I have to click a link if I'm on another page.
I use Chrome.

I figured out part of the IE problem. Apparently IE is the only browser that has a do-not-track policy turned on by default, and due to a bug in IE, when dnt is on, it strips out all custom headers. I know it's a bug, because if you turn DNT off and then back on again, it works properly (until the browser is restarted). Going to try and find another way to pass a variable along with a background request, so I can do it in a different way that even IE will support. But in the meantime, I've turned off dynamic loading for IE users on the new site. Which means it'll load pages more slowly (like the old site does) but at least it'll work until I can find a way to get IE to cooperate.
Need to fix going 'back' to the profile page, and going 'back' to the homepage, those are next on my list. Will keep you updated. |

If you had experienced problems before, please restart your browser and also hold shift while clicking the refresh button while being on the site. This will make absolutely sure you have the latest files of everything, and from then on you should see the site get fast at first and then even faster as you use it!

I just tried it. Exactly as you stated below. But I did something more. I even rebooted my computer on top of everything else that you stated. I agree...it "should" work. The sad part is it did not work. The "back" arrow still will not go back to my profile. I followed this procedure.
1) My profile
2) Player Challenges
3) Tournaments
Then "back" to Player Challenges. Worked fine. Then "back" to my profile. It stayed on Player Challenges. The "back" again. This time it took me to my browser start page (Google).; So it is still skipping my profile when going "back".

I have a MAJOR problem on the NEW site. One of my ACTIVE quests is to submit a Player Challenge. So I tried to submit one of my "usual" Player Challenges. Dog Game This game submits your score automatically. It worked fine yesterday. But today when submitting my score it gave me "The page requested was not found".
So once again I am unable to complete an Active quest due to site problems. |

K it works for my profile on my account, and your profile on my account, so there must be something about your account that is only happening when you see it. I will check it first thing after I get some sleep (later today in the afternoon). The site works pretty much flawlessly for me on chrome/firefox and ie10 both in the latest mode and in ie7/quirks mode as well so that's very good.
The homepage is being redone, there's the old stuff still below the fold but what you see at the top of it is what I am going for. As I said before the gold shop is done and ready to go, and I'm putting off doing the monthly top players page until later. The items/rune system hasn't been explained but that's intentional, thats why the gold shop's hidden, its a surprise for everybody to play with and figure out. So some final cross-browser testing and general minor tweaks tomorrow and we'll be putting this puppy into action! |
