What works best for you, keyboard or mouse?
I'm virtually useless with games that involve the arrow keys, and i'm worse still, using A S W D, shift and numerics all at once. My coordinate's go awol.
But i'm great with the mouse! I'm also super fast using it. Even though the mouse is basic, (very very cheap from asda/wallmart), its LIGHT, and moves quickly/smoothly on almost any surface.
There's so many amazing different types of mouse on the market, they'l be able to teleport us soon =| But for flash games and alike, i find the cheapest, most basic mouse the best!
Is anyone a Keyboard convert? I'd like to know more about various keyboards, if anyone is a buff using them, and or, know's the best type to buy.
What style's best suit you?

For the record, i play using a Laptop, not a desktop. But there's alot of gaming keyboard's, mice, gamepad's, joystick's etc on the market. Eager to know who uses this sort of hardware, and opinion's on them.
I'm assuming joystick's and game-pad's wouldnt be applicable here on the site's game's. |

I use a desktop. I prefer games that use the mouse. I am assumming it is this keyboard. I hate this keyboard. But this is a newer desktop and (of course) the keyboard came with it.
I also have (and use) 3 different mouses (mice). Depending on the game, whichever works best.
I prefer a larger keyboard. But this keyboard is one of those smaller keyboards. I should spring for a newer, bigger keyboard. But I have so many "wants" and "needs" right now. So a new keyboard is further down my list.
Monitors are important too. Luckily, since this is a newer desktop, I have a larger, widescreen, high definition monitor, which is good on these aged and failing eyes. *lol* |

May I add something new to this discussion? It seems that everything can...and does...make a difference. I have always used Internet Explorer. OK, everyone can boo me now. Even better, I'll boo my own self for using amd trusting IR.
But this week I started having major problems with Internet Explorer. Certain types of webpages would freeze up. Especially the pages on this site. So I thought things might need to be updated. So I updated. But I forgot one thing. I forgot to uncheck a box. By forgetting to uncheck a box, my update also installed the Google Chrome browser. The Chrome browser does not freeze up. The Chrome browser is also much, much faster. Page loading and game play is just much faster with Chrome.
So what am I saying? Get the tools. Use those tools. Try every tool that you can get your hands on. Try those new things. Don't rely on those old habits that you are accustomed to. You just may find something better.
Maybe next will be Firefox.
If I really wanted to experiment, maybe I should try a Mac. |
