Daily Challenges have evolved into.... The Gauntlet!
Basically works like it did before, except with improvements:
- Stages are divided into three tiers: Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3
- Defeat any Tier 1 stage to unlock the stage below it in Tier 2. Same to unlock Tier 3.
- Higher tiers are more challenging (higher score requirement), but offer greater rewards!
- Each person has to unlock stages for themselves, you don't unlock for everyone anymore. However, you don't have to beat all 3 starting stages to start unlocking -- every stage you beat unlocks a stage! (Unless it's already the highest tier)
- Improved UI
Throughout the entire site, any references to Daily Challenges have been changed to refer to the Gauntlet now (or Gauntlet Stages). That also means that daily challenge awards have been renamed as Gauntlet Awards. Also, completing a daily challenge is no longer a "quest" -- you still get the gold (more in fact), but it's not a quest anymore because it works better separate from the quest system.
By the way -- The rewards for progress in the Gauntlet have been increased! Tier 1 stages award 1 Gauntlet Award and 50 gold. Tier 2 stages award 2 GA and 100 gold. And Tier 3 stages award 3 GA and 200 gold. Every day!

EDIT: FYI, I know that's 3 quests that have been removed so far (email a game, facebook a game, complete a daily challenge). I have some big ideas for the quest system -- adding more quests and making it work in a more fun way -- so please be patient with the limited number of quests available right now.
