Posted - 04/16/2014 : 18:33:44 The game Search box is one of the great features of PIOTW, especially its highly prominent and accessible location.
But a question, just so I can better understand it - if I search for "hyb" it gives 5 games, all of which happen to contain the word "hybrid". Fine - but - where's "Hybra TD" ?
If I extend my search to the full "hybra" then it DOES find Hybra, but I'm puzzled that it doesn't for just "hyb". |

Posted - 05/09/2014 : 02:51:43 Just for the record, another - very practical - example:
I find a game called [Drop Kick] which says I've never played it. So I try it, and find it's exactly the same as "a" game I played a few days ago. Are there duplicate copies then? So - I use game search for "drop" and then separately for "kick". Both these searches come up with "Drop Kick" and also "Drop Kick the Faint" which I see is not even a High Score game - and NOT the one I played last week.
Wellllllll, if only the search had a tad more common sense it would have ALSO revealed the one I DID play - (mis?)labelled as [Dropkick The Faint] !!!
Duplicate games are a real pain for players, but near impossible to weed out unless there's a good working search function. |

Posted - 04/16/2014 : 21:07:49 Thank you for your trouble there, Jonny.
But no, I was just using that as an example - I'm really hoping to find out EXACTLY how the game search works, as I use it many times every day.
Cheers, EK |

Posted - 04/16/2014 : 20:26:40 And eaglekiwi if your looking for Hybra TD. I search it up and found (right here: http://www.playitontheweb.com/games-like/Hybra-TD) if your looking for it. That's all I find. Is that what your looking for? |

I just meant "I wonder what he might reply", knowing that he may not reply at all lol, I was being gently sarcastic about it =P |
