I don't know if it's just me or if anyone else has noticed it. When I go to a game page, there are 2 games...1 small game which is above a large game. Both "play" at the same time and if there is audio, both have audio at the same time.
Is there a reason for this? Wouldn't this be considered a waste of space, bandwidth and resurces?
I just noticed this several weeks / months ago. |

So it is just me? 2 games on every game page. On EVERY game page. The top game is miniature. But fully functional. The bottom game is normal size. There is a second or 2 delay between the 2 games. So if there's audio...especially LOUD audio...it'll drive you bonkers. |

Fixed.
I had been experimenting with making the site work on mobile devices (iphone/android). Okay well mostly just android because iphone doesn't support flash.
The smaller game was a resized version of the game, it was supposed to appear when you were on android, and the bigger version disappear. So that the game would fit the screen on your phone.
This was accomplished (hiding/showing one or the other) through CSS. And it worked perfectly. EXCEPT for people using the browser and version that Rock is using, apparently!
Well I've since decided that it's not a good idea to have the regular site on smartphones anyway, because they are all touch interfaces and there are wayyyyy too many games that require using the keyboard (which doesn't exist on a smartphone) or doing funky things with the mouse like moving it but not clicking (which you can't do on a smartphone, you can only tap the screen or drag).
So anyway, I removed the double-version. So it should no longer show up for you Rock. And what I'm going to do is make a sub-site that's just for android devices, with its own completely separate interface, and try to find certain games that work well and are playable easily on android just for the "mobile" version of the site. But the 2 versions will be separate so there shouldn't be any conflicts like this happening. |

Is it definitely a game, not an advertisement? Some advertisements look like a game but they definitely don't have audio, so never mind, it's not an ad...
...which means...
Yet another awesome feature of your special exclusive profile! Double games is great! It also sounds annoying!!
I assume the big games are the ones you chose, are the small ones the same game or some random game? You could get advantages from that!
Buttt, there's all the disadvantages too.
I wish I had special hilarious things happen to -my- profile, I couldn't imagine something as great as your "Link-Chase" game (refer to "more site problem" on bug reports) or a bonus mini game though!! |
