Break Dance

There are many different versions of the history behind breakdancing going back as far as 1969. All through the 70's urban youth adopted dance moves from a variety of different sources. Breakdancing and its counterpart "electric boogie" flourished along with the growth of hip-hop culture. The dance reached its climax in popularity in 1984 when it appeared in several major motion pictures.

Only in the past few years has breakdancing returned to the public eye, appearing in numerous music video
